Free standing rigs

A multifunctional exercise system for the gym anchored to the ground/floor. It differs from a power rack in that it does not have bottom crossmembers.

Gym rigs are also commonly referred to as free-standing ‘pull-up rigs,’ as this was their primary purpose in the past. They are free-standing because they do not need to be anchored to a wall. Their main advantage over wall-mounted alternatives is that they can be used for exercises from both sides.

Gym rigs can be compact (with 4 uprights), but more commonly consist of setups with a larger number of posts (8, 12, etc.), where individual stations are connected by longer elements such as bars and peg boards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Basic information for choosing a free-standing gym rig

Yes, it does. Free standing gym rigs offer freedom of movement and accessibility from multiple sides, so you won’t find connecting elements on their lower part. The floor must fulfill this stabilizing function.
Individual stations are separated by longer connecting crossmembers to avoid restricting each other during olympic bar work (which is 2.2m long). There needs to be sufficient clearance not only for solo exercises but also for handling weights – loading plates and so on.
We have showcased certain setups purely as examples – we prefer not to sell them through our online store, especially because they represent more multifunctional solutions where we prefer to provide advice and discuss their design and dimensions.
