Squat stands
The basic components of squat stands are two perforated uprights, which allow you to adjust the accessories to the ideal position.
– There is also a special type of rack that has four uprights, called a half rack. Its base and layout are more similar to a classic squat stand, but functionally it is also categorized as a power rack.
Frequently Asked Questions
Basic information for choosing a squat stand
- A squat rack with a pull-up bar provides greater stability and serves as a comprehensive exercise solution, comparable to larger workout equipment like power racks and Rig setups.
- Conversely, a rack without a pull-up bar is more compact and lighter, making it easier to move around if needed.
FITRON stands are designed so that the dimensions of the base provide an ideal balance of stability and compactness. However, it’s important to note that their stability cannot be compared to that of, for example, six-upright cages, where the structure’s footprint and weight are significantly larger.
The final stability, exercise limitations, and accessory use depend on several criteria, the most important being the height of the rack. If the base is weighted down with plates, you can confidently perform dynamic ‘kipping’ pull-ups on a squat stand with a pull-up bar. Smaller portable racks without a pull-up bar typically have a smaller base, making the use of dip bars, for instance, impractical. For more information, feel free to contact us.
